The Corps Network (TCN) is searching for a President and Chief Executive Officer to drive advocacy, strengthen member services, and expand national and regional funding for Corps programs. TCN supports organizations that prepare youth for life and work through service in crews that deliver critical community services and environmental projects. With roots going back to the New Deal’s Civilian Conservation Corps, TCN’s 158 members in 46 states annually enroll more than 33,000 youth and 265,000 community volunteers in various service projects. As a result, TCN organizations annually generate over 15.3 million hours of service to communities. Through civic engagement that strengthens our communities in various ways, youth ages 16-25 gain abilities that last a lifetime, including important work readiness and job skills. Located in Washington DC, TCN functions as a national advocate for its members, convener on program policy, knowledge clearinghouse, and membership services organization. The organization currently has an annual budget of $3.8 million funded primarily through government and private grants, and secondarily through membership dues and some fees. The organization currently has assets of $3.1 million and a staff of 13. The CEO will report to the Board of Directors, and provide the overall leadership, direction, strategy and vision for TCN, its advocacy, programs, projects, fundraising and outreach. The CEO will serve as a spokesperson on issues related to the work of its members, and expand awareness and understanding of TCN’s work. A position description is available for download here.
