Norma Barfield

Norma Barfield is general counsel and corporate secretary of The Bartech Group, a professional staffing services firm headquartered in Michigan. She is a graduate of Harvard University and earned her J.D. from Georgetown Law School. She practiced law in a variety of settings before joining Bartech in 1993.

She has served on a variety of boards, with a focus on the health and education fields. Norma currently serves on the boards of the American Medical Women's Association Foundation, Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan, and Michigan Opera Theatre.

Barry Byrd

Barry Byrd is a partner at the law firm of Pineiro, Wortman & Byrd, P.A., in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, specializing in real estate law. Barry is a graduate of Stetson University and the Stetson College of Law. He has practiced for over 20 years.

Barry has held leadership positions in numerous community organizations and served as President of the Northern Palm Beaches Chamber of Commerce. He current chairs both the Abacoa Partnership for Community and the Boys & Girls Club of Riviera Beach.

Cesar Conde

Cesar Conde, of Florida, is Vice President, Operating Manager of Galavisi�n, Univision's award winning cable network. He graduated from Harvard University with honors and received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

From 2002-2003, he served as a White House Fellow working with Secretary of State Colin L. Powell. Before joining Univision, Conde worked at StarMedia Network and as an investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions group at Salomon Smith Barney. He is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Viet Dinh

Viet Dinh is professor of law and co-director of Asian Law and Policy Studies at the Georgetown University Law Center. He also is founder and principal of Bancroft Associates and serves as a director of News Corporation. Dinh graduated with honors from Harvard College and Harvard Law School and served as U. S. Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy from 2001 to 2003.

Dinh's board positions include the American Judicature Society, the transition committee for Governor Schwarzenegger, the Association of American Law Schools, and the ABA Section on Administrative Law.

Philip Duncan

Phil Duncan, of Virginia, is President of Civicatalyst Communications, a consulting firm that focuses on civic participation and education. He previously served as Executive Director of NCoC. Phil is a graduate of Davidson College. A native of Tennessee, he spent twenty years as a reporter and editor at Congressional Quarterly.

He is a board member of the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce, which named him "Pillar of the Community" in 2001, and numerous other organizations in Virginia.

William Fenimore, Jr.

Bill Fenimore, of Pennsylvania, is Managing Director of the U.S. office of BridgeLink, LLC, a capital advisory firm headquartered in Basle, Switzerland. Bill is a graduate of Drexel University and holds an M.B.A. He previously served as CEO of Integrion Financial Services, a joint venture between IBM and 18 large financial institutions.

Bill is a director of numerous private and public companies, and serves on the board of the Philadelphia Art Alliance.

Eric Federing

Eric K. Federing, of Maryland, is Director, Business Public Policy,Government Affairs, KPMG LLP. He is a senior strategic advisor to the firm's management, practices, partners and clients. Eric is a graduate of George Washington University, Phi Beta Kappa. He served for a dozen years in senior communications positions in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate.

Eric is active in civic and international affairs. He founded the Uni-Capitol Washington Internship Programme, a pro bono effort that matches Australian university students to select congressional offices for 8-week internships annually. He is also a Board Member of the National Japanese American Memorial Foundation and has been listed in the last six editions of Who's Who in America.

Robert Giese

Bob Giese, of Washington, is an attorney with extensive experience in dealing with Federal legislative and regulatory matters. Bob is a graduate of American University and the University of San Francisco Law School. Prior to opening his own practice, Bob headed the Washington office of Chris Craft Broadcasting. Before selling its stations to News Corp., Chris Craft was the sixth largest television broadcaster in the U.S. Bob has served on the boards of St. Albans School and the Eisenhower World Affairs Institute.

Jacob Goldstein

Jake Goldstein, of New York City, is a student at Columbia Law School. Jake is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Oxford. He served as an intern at The White House and as a research assistant for a British Member of Parliament. Prior to law school, Jake also worked at The New Yorker magazine.

Martin Krall

Martin Krall was a partner and vice-chairman of the law firm Shaw Pittman until early 1995, when he became Executive vice-president-chief legal officer of the Daily News, U.S. News and World Report and a number of affiliated public and private companies. After retiring from those positions, he returned to his former firm, which has since merged to become Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, as senior counsel.

Mr. Krall has served as vice-chairman of the Washington Hospital Center and the Medlantic Healthcare System. He currently serves as a National Governor of the American Jewish Committee and as a director of other for profit and not-for-profit entities.

Geoffrey P. Loree, of Ohio, is a Principal of Christian & Timbers, a premier executive search firm committed to performance, quality and results. Geoff entered the executive search profession with Heidrick & Struggles' global technology practice following a career in professional baseball. Today, as a key member of Christian & Timbers, Geoff serves clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 leaders, successfully recruiting CEOs, COOs, and CFOs for organizations experiencing challenges at every stage of growth.

Previously, Geoff was the founder and managing member of The Gloree Group, LLC, a professional services firm providing consultation concerning growth strategies and acquisitions. The firm's client base included investors, privately held growth companies, and scaling corporations.

Dennis McGinn

Dennis McGinn, of Ohio, is Vice President for Strategic Planning and Business Development for Battelle. He received a degree in naval engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and was a strategic studies fellow at the U.S. Naval War College.

He is a retired vice admiral from the U.S. Navy whose most recent position with the Navy was Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Warfare Requirements and Programs at the Pentagon. A Naval Aviator, test pilot and national security strategist during his 35-year-year naval career, he also commanded the U.S. Third Fleet and was Director of Naval Aviation Warfare.

A. G. Newmyer III

A. G. "Terry" Newmyer III, of Florida, is an active investor and management consultant. Terry is founder and managing director of U. S. Fiduciary Advisors, a network of highly-trained individuals who serve as fiduciaries in a wide variety of situations. He graduated with senior honors from Phillips Academy, Andover, and earned his B.A., cum laude, at Yale University.

Terry has served on many nonprofit boards including The Fair Care Foundation, a patient advocacy group focused on health insurance, which he was the founding chairman. In addition, he was the first non-lawyer ever elected to the board of the Appleseed Foundation.

John Reeder

John Reeder, of Texas and Vermont, is President of the Peter D. Watson Agency, a real estate brokerage in Vermont. Following his education at Trinity College and active duty with the U.S. Army, John's business career included serving as an officer and director of an insurance group located in the Gulf Coast region, and several of its subsidiaries.

John serves on numerous nonprofit boards. He was a trustee and treasurer of Sterling College.

Benjamin Sorensen

Ben Sorensen, of Maryland, is a student at Georgetown University Law Center. Ben is a graduate of Emory University and holds a master's degree from Duquesne University. He has taught elementary and high school history, served as a mediator for the Office of the Maryland Attorney General and worked on a United States Senate campaign.

Ben directs an NCoC program of workshops for high school students on leadership and civic engagement. He is active with Best Buddies International and other organizations.

Thomas Susman

Tom Susman, of Washington, is a partner at the law firm of Ropes & Gray, where he has maintained a diverse government relations and regulatory practice since 1981.

Tom is a graduate of Yale College and received his law degree from the University of Texas. After clerking on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, he served at the U.S. Department of Justice before going to Capitol Hill. Tom was counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee and several of its subcommittees.

Tom is President of the District of Columbia Library Foundation, trustee of the National Judicial College, a member of the Council on Legal Education Opportunity, and a member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association. He chairs the Ethics Committee of the American League of Lobbyists and is an adjunct professor at the American University law school.

Craig Turk (President)

Craig Turk, of California, is a political consultant and screenwriter. Craig graduated from Harvard College with high honors, pursued graduate studies in politics at Oxford University, and earned his law degree, with honors, at Harvard. He served as chief counsel of John McCain's presidential campaign, and has practiced law in Washington and California. Craig advises political parties in Europe and Asia, as well as domestically. He has advised the Sam Rainsy Party in Cambodia and the Government of Montenegro. He has also written for television shows including "Law & Order." Craig is a board member of the Epilepsy Foundation in Los Angeles.

Michael Weiser

Michael Weiser, of New York, is Chairman and Founder of The Weiser Group, a strategic communications firm specializing in financial and corporate issues. Michael is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He served as an editor of Institutional Investor magazine and as vice president at The Chicago Board Options Exchange before opening his firm in 1979. He is a member of the New York Mercantile Exchange's Comex Options Division.

Michael is active in education and social issues. He chairs The Friends of Ana Roque de Duprey School and was a founding director of The Museum of Broadcast Communications.

Jocelyn White

Jocelyn White served as director of the President's Commission on White House Fellowships from 2001 to 2005. She was founder of several companies in the "risk communication" area involving environmental and health concerns, and has extensive experience in government. Jocelyn is a native of Ohio and a graduate of St. Lawrence University.

She is active as a volunteer with her certified pet therapy dog at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and served on the boards of Columbia Hospital for Women, Westmoreland Congregational Church, and the leadership committee for The Salvation Army's Turning Point Project for Women and Children.
