Now in its third year, NCOC’s Civic Health Index (CHI) is regarded as the definitive measure of civic engagement in America. The Index identified 40 indicators of civic life across 9 categories, such as giving and volunteering, trust in other people and key institutions, and understanding civics and politics.

This year we were joined by Sandra Day O’Connor, William A. Galston, Peter Levine and Sean Parker, among others as we unveiled the 2008 Civic Health Index.
