American History and Civics Education
The National Center on Citizenship includes partner organizations working to strengthen the teaching of American history and civics education in our schools. Our partners are committed to helping teachers ensure that students have the tools they need to fully participate in our democracy. These organizations have developed programs such as providing constitutional history materials for teachers, establishing student civic competitions, engaging students in service projects connected to lessons in the classroom, and much more.
David McCullough on Being a Good Citizen
Love of country isnt just waving a flag, love of country is knowing its story, knowing its values, its liberties, everything that has been passed onto us by so much in the way of sacrifice and genius by those who went before us.
