The Pew Partnership for Civic Change is a civic research organization that provides consulting and program support to communities, governments, foundations and nonprofit agencies. We help clients identify and implement solutions and strategies crucial to making communities stronger.
Achievements
Implementing our civic leadership program, LeadershipPlenty Ò, in communities throughout the Dakotas, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon under the auspices of the Northwest Area Foundation’s “Horizons” program. Another contract with the Foundation for the MidSouth is providing LeadershipPlenty Ò trainings to two Delta counties – one in Arkansas and one in Mississippi.
Providing consultation and advice to community-minded organizations like the Kansas Health Foundation.
Publishing new issues of our flagship magazine, Spotlight, which highlights the best community development efforts in the U.S. and describes new solutions to intractable problems facing community organizations. We also publish and distribute Civic Change, an industry publication devoted to exploring new initiatives and research by nonprofits interested in civic engagement.
Publication of reports on civic leadership and the best approaches to community development. The year 2005 brings the publication of Inventing Civic Change - a look at eight of the best community development initiatives from across the nation and how they work.
Spreading the word about what constitutes a ‘Smart Community’ through speaking engagements to national audiences and communities throughout the United States.
